My first attempt at poetry. I think I will stick to painting though. (laughing) But it was a challenge that I enjoyed. I have written others since this one which are on my other site. The painting is another original painted by me. Please don't copy it without my permission. Copyright Studio Perceptions 1998.

When Angels Guide My Brush
Author: Celeste

She appears without warning
Her presence I am aware.

The room fills with love light
You know she is there.

From Elysian Fields descends extraordinary calm
And voices bel canto, exquisite in song.
Innocent, lovely, radiant and bright
She guides my paintbrush with fingers so light.

Her brilliant essence mixes with mine,
For a moment drawn together, in suspended time.
She touches my canvas and illuminates my art
Her energy flows through my hand then my heart.

My guardian of colours so soft and true
My angel divine, then adds some blue.
Another touch here, another caress there,
Adding some green with an airy flair.

Another brush of her delicate hand
On goes luster, angelic and grand.
With celestial perception, a heavenly ray
A sunbeam, a star, is added today.

Fused together, forever as one
A paragon artist, I will become
For my guardian angel is here with me
Guiding my brush for all eternity.

O:-)

The real difficulty lies in the fact that only a finite number of angels can dance on the head of a pin, whereas the mathematician is more apt to be interested in the infinite angel problem only.
