The Woman

I am a romantic Libra born October 13th in the year of the dragon.

I have 3 children of
whom I am proud to be their mother.

I now also have two grandchildren.

one beautiful granddaughter

and one handsome grandson

and a wonderful step-granddaughter

I have a joie de vivre that is infectious.
I appreciate every waking moment of
the "present" of life to the fullest.

I'm an air sign and the dragon's element is water

I love music in all its artistic forms.
I especially enjoy U2, Sarah McLachlin, Jann Arden, and Francis Cabrel
and now adding James Blunt .
But I often play soft rock or New Age especially David Darling.
His haunting electronic cello and piano move me deeply.

I adore violin music. It reaches the
inner core of my soul.
My favourite piece of music: Gabriel's Oboe

I am a mother, now a grandmother, an art teacher, and an artist,
online wedding boutique owner
and a loyal friend and lover.

I don't care what other people think about me.
I am who I am who I am.
I think - therefore I am.

I love to read true crime novels.

I am not materialistic but do appreciate the finer things
life has to offer if I can afford it. If I can't, easy come, easy go.
I don't believe in "keeping up with the Jones"
I love wearing beautiful clothes, collecting antiques and decorating;
good food and vacation time but just as happy in lycra capris around the house.
And of course I love computers !

I think I can adapt and fit in just about anywhere.
Throw me a sleeping bag and I will sleep under the stars.
I can rough it and be quite happy. O:-)

The most important things in life cannot be wrapped up in a box.
I enjoy "presence" rather than "presents"
I don't like to feel lonely although I do enjoy being alone sometimes.
And although it's important to be happy you must
have "JOY" in your life.

I speak English and manage well in French.

I am also an optimist, an amateur philosopher slash
numerologist all rolled up into one.

I even dabble from time to time in a little Tarot,
when I feel the need to see if I can get a glimpse of the future.

I believe in Angels. O:-)

I'm a great cook when I feel like cooking.
It's always better to have someone to cook for though.
I abhor housework, but way too proud not to do it
but as I'm getting older it is becoming less important .
I love cats and dogs.
I think cats are far more intelligent than we
give them credit for.

I always wake up in a good mood. I swear it's true!
I am nocturnal and love the night time but since
I met my guy, I have been converted to get up with the birds!
Often now I get up when I used to go to bed LOL

I can be opinionated and I have an Irish temper. *grin*
My eyes are green.
I am definitely a person of principles.
I'm probably way too sensitive.
Sometimes I spend too much money and I tend
to procrastinate. I work better under pressure.

I truly enjoy an Irish coffee or Porto with with blue cheese and grapes
I had to give up those special
cigarellos "El Guajiro Aromas" from Tenerife, Spain. I quit smoking!! YIPEEE
My favourite red wine is "Brouilly"
I think champagne is over rated unless you have
it for breakfast with orange juice in bed with the one you love lol

What single cloudless day what soft late rainfall decide that a
vintage shall be great among the others?
Human care can do almost nothing towards it;
IT IS ALL CELESTIAL WIZARDRY, THE ORBITS OF

I love candlelight and incense.

I love my fireplace and the smell of burning wood.

I love going barefoot in my garden.

I love to dance.
I love the way Moz cooks lamb.
I would do almost anything for chocolate.

I take joy in spending time with my friends
who come from all walks of life.
My children delight me.
My grandchildren make me proud of my family.
I love the elderly for they can teach us much.
I never complain about growing older as it is a priviledge
not everyone gets.
I am diplomatic and fair
But stubborn
& have a hard Irish head lol

I despise discrimination, racism and war in all it's ugly forms.

I love the rain.

I tend to be somewhat impulsive at times.

I don't like arguing and sometimes can appear indifferent
as I try to avoid taking sides....

I love spontaneous people and sailboats.

My day perfume is Cinnabar.
My night perfume is Angel.

I work too much.

I am trying to age gracefully.

Did you know that all the darkness in the world cannot put out one small candle?

S O M E T I M E S

My most memorable trips have been to Cuba, Florida, Jamaica
Nova Scotia, Charlevoix and Quebec City and of course those
early trips to Trois Rivieres to my "oasis".
I am looking forward to my trip to the Dominican Republic April 2008

Someday I want to travel to the Seychelles Islands.

The ocean lures me with its salt scented air.
I long for the hypnotic sound of waves rushing to shore
under the beautiful celestial evening sky while
the moonbeams dance across the water.
There, my spirit soars and I feel free and
I long for my next voyage to the sea.

When my angels take me from this life and enter Elysium Fields,
I ask that my ashes be blended with the atmosphere
under the stars and into the ocean so I may become a part of that for all eternity.
If you must bury something, bury my faults, my weaknesses
and all my prejudices against fellow man.
If you do all I have asked, I will live forever.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so that when you die,
you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Treasure every breath - growing old is a privilege denied to many.
Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh often, work hard, give freely and be kind.
Live so when others think of integrity, honesty, caring and love, they will think of you.
